Why I Write
I could be incredibly vague and say I write because I love it. And while that’s true, for me, there’s so much more than that.
I love the way words play, with infinite possibility and combinations. The stories they can tell, the emotions they can evoke, the worlds they can create, the lessons they can impart. Isn’t that what creation is all about?
Aside from writing being one of the few things I consider myself good at, written words are also the perfect vessel for me to make sense of the chaos crashing around my head; to construct the shattered memories and feelings in my heart into something new and powerful.
Writing allows me to go where my everday persona can’t. To enter that restricted area and heave its contents into the light.
I write because it is who I am. It is my path of truth; my purpose in a crush of billions of other voices.
I write to live my truth.
I write to help shed a light on yours.
